LawyeredOS
Your files. Your AI assistant.
You’re in charge.
LawyeredOS gives Claude or Codex the skills and local tools to work with the matter files you choose, keep recorded progress and next actions in your workspace, and move work forward under your oversight.
Bring your own Claude or Codex access. No second legal-software dashboard.

Pick up the matter where you left it.

01 · Open the matter
Claude or Codex works from the local files and exact matter you choose.
02 · Get up to speed
Your AI assistant reads the matter’s register entry, brief and files, then tells you where things stand, what’s uncertain and what’s next. No vague chat memory.
03 · Move it forward
Ask your AI assistant to draft, review, redline, or preview an update. You approve material changes.

LawyeredOS has four parts that work together:
Skills guide Claude through each workflow: what to check, in what order, and where to stop and ask you.
Python scripts do the repeatable operations on records and documents, such as reading the matter register, saving drafts without overwriting anything, and applying Word tracked changes.
A local matter database keeps each matter’s history, tasks and status between sessions, so Claude picks up from the record instead of chat memory. It only knows what was recorded or saved.
You direct the work, review the output and approve anything consequential. Changes are previewed first, and LawyeredOS never sends, signs, files or serves.
Nine guided workflows cover contract review; demand drafting and inbound demand triage; sourced advocacy and chronologies; daily attention, inbox workup and overdue investigation; and orientation quality review. Access them through your existing matter skill and catalog.
Practice-wide work requires an explicit request and scope. Email is not monitored automatically. The installer retains six native options, with manual guidance for other integrations.
Nothing runs in the background, and this beta is macOS-only. Live Gmail and Calendar, OCR and the full multi-perspective review are experimental.

Set up LawyeredOS for me in a new private workspace. Use fictional data, show me the complete plan, and check with me before changing files.Your AI assistant shows the setup plan before writing. Setup asks how to handle email and never treats configuration as proof of a connection. It does not authorize an account, store credentials, or enable automatic sending. Start with a new empty workspace and fictional data. Complete install, update, rollback, dependency, and troubleshooting instructions are included in each download.
Public macOS beta
Free and open source under GPL-3.0-or-later. For macOS with Python 3.12: Claude Desktop Code Local (0.2.3 beta.1) and a Codex local project with project-local skills (0.2.3 beta.1). The prior 0.2.1 release passed a narrow read-only IMAP test on both desktop hosts using one exact self-addressed Gmail thread. This 0.2.3 update passed automated and fictional-workspace checks; fresh Claude/Codex model behavior and live-account acceptance, broader Gmail accounts or searches, and OAuth/REST remain unverified. Windows, Linux, cloud hosts, live OCR, and other runtime versions remain unverified or excluded.
